We are the Ann Arbor Firefighters Local 693 of the International Association of Fire Fighters.  We currently consist of 81 members that provide services that include fire suppression, EMS, hazmat, and technical rescue.  We serve the community of Ann Arbor, Michigan and the University of Michigan. The census population estimate in 2020, not including commuters, is approximately 123,851  in a 27.6 square mile area. We currently staff three engines, one 75ft ladder, one 100ft tower platform, one light rescue truck, and a battalion chief for a complement of six companies per day from five fire stations under one battalion.  In 2021, we completed 9,579 calls for service with a minimum staffing of 18 personnel per day.
