Ann Arbor firefighters put out a house fire Wednesday at 423 Benjamin Street in Ann Arbor, where it is believed that University of Michigan students lived.

A house near the University of Michigan's Central Campus was damaged by fire this evening, but no one was injured.

The fire occurred in the 400 block of Benjamin Street.

The home was believed to be occupied by several students.

Firefighters were still at the scene at 7:30 p.m. The porch and first-floor of the home appear to have sustained significant damage.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but witnesses said it likely started on a couch on the porch.
